There's something that I haven't told you,
There's a way, to undo the damage that's been done to your heart,
Beneath the subterfuge, there lies a refuge,
To mend the broken pieces of your mind.
Not too late, to turn around, now,
Just a mention of the truth pulls them down, now,
Watch their monuments crumble,
Holding fast to them, despite the sinking ground falling out.
I, know, they left you behind,
No windows, had rendered you blind,
But the air, flows, beneath the rafters,
From passing tornadoes, the worst is now behind.
Something tells me you'll pull through just fine,
Though nothing seems as dark,
I promise you that there is light.
If only, you'd listen to me,
To the rest of the world,
Look up for once,
And you will see,
We're already waiting,
For you to lend a sense... of your trust...
Now I, know, they left you behind,
No windows, had rendered you blind,
But the air, flows, beneath the rafters,
From passing tornadoes, the worst is now behind!
Think back to that classroom now,
There's something missing,
A center, a moment, to connect, to make sense,
Of our history, it's missing, fill it in for me.
Fill in the gaps,
Expand my horizons,
I understand...
There is nothing, until you learn to reach out for yourself,
No one knows, what will become of these times,
So rest for now, take your time but never ever let go,
Keep on pushing until, the answers unfold.
