My words were spoken from a place of genuine regard, Yet they were used against me from the very start, I've never known the air to be a luxury, but, They seemed to have found a way to reach inside of me... And somehow keep my lungs from opening. The things we do for money... Take me away from my self-harm, This time they've turned the knife on me. I miss the comfort of your arms, so telling, Of the way things could be. But instead, This manifestation of my anxiety, Is what is fed, Into my blood stream. Please take me away from their self-harm, This time I've turned the knife on me, I'm worried that they've gone too far... As, the faultless mirror, Projects an image onto me, As, I look in terror, I start to see what they see. Losing myself, Inside my very own self-doubt, My self-imposed hell, Perhaps it's time to do without. I miss the comfort of your arms, so telling, Of the way things should be. It's time to open up the doors, And let the sunshine in, It's time to travel to the moors, To set fire to their whims, Reclaim my sense of self-esteem, My worth, Who I am.

Can you sing to me, tell me all about your pain? Is there a matter too persistent, to escape? To the faint of heart, to the ones who shy from their disdain, Tell me what it is you think, you stand to gain? If you travel all your life, and isolate, Never giving into trust, to tolerate... What's inside, when it's sad or too somber, Would you rather die, than to feel any longer? The loss tends to leave a hole, Where there once was a lover, And though it feels like there's no soul, Although it's gone, it's not forever. The words of demons, running through a conscious stream, No matter how much that you run, or try to scream, They pay you mind only, when you try to look away, The monsters change with your embrace, the scars will fade. Let the wounds heal, the cut this time was more than deep, The marks will fade away with time, the energy, Is often greater when you only push away, Instead of learning how to trust, to tolerate... What's inside, when it's sad or too somber, Would you rather die, than to feel any longer? This life holds so much more... The loss tends to leave a hole, Where there once was a lover, And though it feels like there's no soul, Although it's gone, it's not forever. The absence doesn't have to grow, Or consume, or devour, Pretenses always lose their hold, Before too long, when you discover... The pain doesn't last forever, To fall deeper into your sorrow, Only serves to foster, The negative. The mind can be a dangerous place, When you venture out alone, (when you venture out alone) Best to bring an outer space, As it seems to me, you've come undone, So try a smile across your face, Fix your eyes upon, The ones you love.

The brightest sky, An emerald night... A wick set to ignite. Born was a plan to step aside, With a noble task in mind... Simple, eloquent design, To preserve the rich and erudite, Faction and divide, Brace for the incoming tide. The atmosphere is full of fright, Just a spark is needed tonight. What a turn of twisted fate, There is no god to abate, The constant march of the apostate. Consumed by the fire of hate, Of their personified state, Justified anger, congregated. Release my spirit, Douse my soul in gasoline, I don't believe a shift, Will ever change the hearts of fiends... Faith... is the death of reason, Are you questioning? If there'd ever be a season, When they'd call your name. My insecurity, has fallen away. Transcendent fire, cleansing for a moment... Melt away their shell, so they can see... In a blast of unceremonious atomic annihilation, The only ones standing were those suffering, the indoctrination. Stripped away of earth and their right to serenade the opposition, Left with no other choice than to manipulate, the only decision, How long will it last, and how to eradicate? And in the case of an inquisition, Is there a way to eliminate? Can they sell it all? Take away, pieces of all our sanity, with the same conviction? My heart bleeds for us all, Until the very end of time.

There's something that I haven't told you, There's a way, to undo the damage that's been done to your heart, Beneath the subterfuge, there lies a refuge, To mend the broken pieces of your mind. Not too late, to turn around, now, Just a mention of the truth pulls them down, now, Watch their monuments crumble, Holding fast to them, despite the sinking ground falling out. I, know, they left you behind, No windows, had rendered you blind, But the air, flows, beneath the rafters, From passing tornadoes, the worst is now behind. Something tells me you'll pull through just fine, Though nothing seems as dark, I promise you that there is light. If only, you'd listen to me, To the rest of the world, Look up for once, And you will see, We're already waiting, For you to lend a sense... of your trust... Now I, know, they left you behind, No windows, had rendered you blind, But the air, flows, beneath the rafters, From passing tornadoes, the worst is now behind! Think back to that classroom now, There's something missing, A center, a moment, to connect, to make sense, Of our history, it's missing, fill it in for me. Fill in the gaps, Expand my horizons, I understand... There is nothing, until you learn to reach out for yourself, No one knows, what will become of these times, So rest for now, take your time but never ever let go, Keep on pushing until, the answers unfold.

You've seen the night, My transgressions, They know that every word I've said, Follows a line, Through my confessions, The truth is I'm already dead. A solitary being, Clutching hold of light, Tomorrow is another day, Then I'll set things right. In the mean time, carry on, I'll be there before too long. These spindle legs have atrophied, So hard to give a damn, But still we push on, Can't take much more, I'll carry you in my heart. A solitary being, Clutching hold of light, Tomorrow is another day, Then I'll set things right. In the end we are alone, And because we accept this, Nothing can be done, To ever stop this. Put one foot forward, in front of the other, and take my mind away... From this solitude, unite the two, me and you. The everlasting, and the fortitude, In this existential universe. In the end we are all alone, And there's nothing we can do.
